Luo Tao, general manager of China Nonferrous Metals Corporation, said in an interview with reporters on May 5 that China Nonferrous Metals Corporation has recently established Zhongse South Rare Earth (Xinfeng) Co., Ltd., which is expected to be put into operation in 2013 with a production capacity of 7,000 tons per year.
It is understood that China National Southern Rare Earth (Xinfeng) Co., Ltd. will be built in Xinfeng County, Shaoguan. The construction period is about 3 years, and more than RMB 400 million is planned to be invested. After completion, it will consume about 20,000 tons of medium yttrium-rich europium ion rare earth concentrate, equivalent to 7,000 tons of TREO, mainly Jiangxi and Guangdong. The total investment of the project is 472.5 million yuan, of which the environmental protection investment is 218.295 million yuan, accounting for 4.62% of the total investment of the project.
